Looks to me like trying to compete with the Chinese car imports, not only in regards to the number, but to the design as well. The big issue I fear is, that China is just at the beginning of is big ev dump. Like what we've seen in other industries, solar, steel, machinery, plastic toys... It's not like the us or european car manufactures need to outsit this for a couple od months and everythings goes back to the good ol times. The low priced ev strategy is shifting the market massively. I think western car manufacturers are better off when pushing the standards in the terms of overall quality and range.
