You seem to have very strong opinions for someone so ignorant regarding the basic facts of this case.

Snowden was basically locked in Russia by the United States -- the U.S. wanted to pin him as a scary Russian-affiliated actor. And they did.

Maybe that should give you reservations about which country is the "MOST historically abusive surveillance state."

Or maybe you've just taken U.S. propaganda hook, line and sinker.
