I hope they go extinct. I don't know how its in the USA but in India is has become a joke. Every news site is owned by a political party.

In the US, the billionaires are largely buying up legacy media.

It was complete submission lmao

> At the end of the day, they are still your users and you might learn things from the other apps.

but those users don't see ads on 3rd party apps. they already know what all they can implement to improve user experience. they just wont, willingly

This surely is speculation. After the aimee incident I'm sure reddit would have booted all risky candidates off the payroll

the moderator leak came about 30 days ago. I am not sure if I can link the content here without breaking some obscure HN rule, even though they are behind pseudonymic usernames.

rdrama.net , who fight against these types of degenerate Reddit mods, have had the leaks in their threads. Even if they are not officially on the payroll, the moderator who has been convicted of beating her (she was the father) kid and wife, still has an "official" line directly to the Reddit admins, and she has admitted to working 60 hours a week for Reddit... While they might not officially condone their behavior, they use their free labor

> This division is arbitrary

what the hell, how is Men's and Women's sports categorization arbitrary? its clearly defined who plays in which category.

What the hell are you talking about? Being well-defined and arbitrary are two orthogonal things.

This entire things feels like you are justifying your transition process with some feelgood facts which you intentionally made up.

Also I have a question, where do Indians appear in these stats? Under Asian?

Presumably they're using U.S. census derived terms, so in the U.S. Indians are considered Asians.

LOL this happened with us too. We were 2 indians and 2 white guys from norway in the team. We needed to add more jr devs to our team to carry out some of the tasks. They only ever sent us resumes for women and when we finally hired 2 women they thanked us for being a open and accepting team. We had to weed out 18 candidates before we settled on the only good ones. so it was almost 2/20 hit rate

VSCode has extensive plugin ecosystem now and has a lot of inbuilt features. It works great, has become a default editor for me. Unless I need Rider/VS2022. I just hope they separate all their jupyiter notebook stuff into an extension so I can disable it. Feels like unnecessary bloat having it by default when they have such a great plugin api

Maybe find an instance which works with your ideology?
