After I made a small MMO prototype over at https://everwilds.io/ (open-source) I am now working on a vehicle building prototype at https://evergate.io/, if you're interested in following the progress there's a Discord link at the top right corner of each website. Mainly focused on Evergate right now :))


To replicate that feel is pretty much the point of this project.


There is a GitHub link in the top-right corner :) I am currently busy building out a game platform over at https://evergate.io/ so this project is on hold for now, so I made it open-source. And I know about Hordes, it's great! It's one of the reasons I am trying to do something a bit different over at https://evergate.io/ instead of making what would basically turn into a Hordes clone.

Been slowly chipping away at my browser mmo game http://everwilds.io. I've always been curious about MMO software/netcode architecture thanks to playing Guild Wars (the original) in my youth. I've been inspired to build my own browser mmo game after seeing hordes.io, which is made by a single person. Launched a prototype with, for now, only basic movement over at http://everwilds.io. Instead of working in a silo I've decided to develop in public and launched as soon as possible to slowly gather an audience. Which tools are u using?


VSCode, TypeScript, Three.js. But I am about to remove Three.js and use WebGPU instead, I don't like the 800kb+ size of Three.js. Also will do some experimenting with C++ and WebAssembly and see how that goes.
