Second reply -- if anyone wants to run Dune3D, flatpak or compiled, they must set this flag in advance:

export GDK_DEBUG="gl-prefer-gl"

I discovered this while trying out the compiled version (it's essential for the program to run at all), and for some reason I thought the FlatPak install would have done away with this oddity.

Again, because my students aren't necessarily techies, this kind of hacking shouldn't exist in a program released to mere mortals.

But thanks again for alerting me to this release version.

Thanks -- I missed this. If it pans out, it might get me to shift away from SolveSpace, which has a few perpetually annoying quirks.

How come different connector can be sealed but jack not?

They can, but it's much much cheaper to get rid of them altogether.

the USB connector is a box that is not open to the inside of the phone, at least every one i've seen. I've even seen a couple of phones where the box that held the USB connector also had a speaker in it. I guess a headphone jack could be put inside of a similar box, but the main difference is all the contacts in TRR plugs are spring metal that are attached to the outside of the plastic housing and poke through, and that's if the spec calls for any sort of reinforcement. The simplest headphone jacks are just spring metal in empty space.

I sent this to my gf, but performance is very bad (Intel N4100, hw acceleration turned on), what can be the reason? One would say modern integrated graphic can run animation like this without issues.

Animation is loading but it is very slow.

I cut alcohol completely 4 years ago. One day I released that it is too harmful for me and to people around. It was not about having fun anymore, it was about drinking, having little please from it and then regretting that. That was a breaking point for me.

PROS:
